So back under way this week.
Good first up win for Adelaide over the champions. The reds have recruited well and should perform strongly.
No comment on the Melbourne game.

I missed both games but will be happy to see Aussie teams do well in this competition no matter who they are. We need the exposure not only in Asia but here at home.

Still amazes me that the current wooden spooners play in the Champions League ... But fair play to them, I will be as happy as anyone when an Australian team wins it

yeah thats ridiculous but cant see it changing tbh
as for melbourne well they have been decimated by injuries and should be competitive - thought adelaide were a little lucky but they played the counter attacking style when they made it to the final so good luck to them - their new argentinian player looks a good find - name escapes me at the moment

tough one tonight for Melbourne - Kawasaki away backing up after the gf.
Kawasaki were one of the strong J-league sides last season but have made a slow start this year.
As a side j-league note of interest for this forum, Kennedy was on scoresheet for Nagoya on the weekend.
Adelaide hosting Sanfrecce Hiroshima tomoz. Will be interesting to see a new team to the acl.

It could be just me and i dont keep huge tabs on the Reds but it seems to me that Joe Mullen has managed to get a bit more spirit/passion back into the team again, from what i can tell the reds have always been on the back foot since Aurelio Vidmar took the Coach's spot. He might of been a good player but i just dont seem him making a huge name for himself as a Coach. Not that i can really talk considering i am supporting a team which is worse than the current roar line up. I thought the whole idea was to build on your squad and not get rid of your best players. I'd rather still see Franky back there n not this drop kick Ange Postecoglou who in my opion needs a bullet.

Ummm.....Mr Vidmar is still the reds coach I think you find.
An interesting 4th matchday saw results swap around for us Aussies. Adelaide with their first loss, melbourne with their first win.
The win was enough for melbourne to keep some small glimmer of qualifiing hope alive, whilst you would think the reds do not need too many more points to be safe.
This week sees Adelaide away at the Steelyard whilst Melbourne host the Griffiths led Beijing.

So 2 scoreless draws for the Aussie matches.....meaning that Adelaide have qualified and Melbourne can not with one match day remaining.
Biggest talking point would have to be Muscat's post game rant.......what a c*&t!!! Has there ever been a sorer loser......we lose so its all fucked! Taking my ball and going home.
Heads up Melbourne, if the competition is that bad we will galdly take your place next season.......
